One hundred years ago, Ronald Reagan was starting his freshman year of high school in Dixon. Over the next 4 years as we celebrate the centennial of Reagan’s high school career, we’ll try to take the time to remember this unique heritage that Dixon has and bring the inspiring story of his formative years to our current students.
Ronald Reagan would go on the become the 40th President of the United States, but we’ll focus on his early years in Dixon and his experiences in school that helped make him a successful person. In his time in high school, Reagan served on the student council, was active in theater, sports and was known as a leader among his peers.
As we move forward with this multi-year celebration of the history of Ronald Reagan, we expect to share the story of Reagan as a young man, provide information on our website and social media, offer historical presentations and celebrate our local heritage.
We also have a web store where we have a t-shirt available that celebrates Reagan’s high school centennial. We expect to have more shirt designs in the coming months and years, but you can check out our offering here:

The proceeds from sales from the web store will benefit school activities, including the activities that Reagan participated in, theater and athletics programs.
