On Friday, March 3rd, choirs from three Dixon Public Schools will participate in the second annual DPS Choir fest. This collaboration brings students from fifth grade to seniors in high school together through their passion for singing. Students will spend the day playing games, socializing, meeting musicians from the other schools, and learning new music. We invite all friends, family, and community members to attend our evening concert at 6:30pm in the DHS auditorium where each choir will perform. We will end the concert with a combined piece sung by all 140 student musicians!
New Date! Madison Talent Show will be held Thursday, March 2nd at 6:30 in the Madison Gymnasium. Art Gallery opens at 6 PM in the Madison Lobby, and the livestream link will be posted on Thursday afternoon.

Dixon Public Schools is having a Special Board Meeting on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. This special meeting is to discuss a student discipline case in Executive Session. An action item will be voted on after Executive Session.
The meeting will be recorded and placed on our website the next day. Those wishing to submit public comment need to email them to the Board President and the Superintendent by Noon on Thursday, February 23, 2023. This Friday, February 24th is our community-wide screening at Washington School from 8am-2pm. If you have a child from birth through age 4 and want to make sure he or she is meeting the developmental milestones, bring them for a free screening with teachers, speech pathologists, PT/OT, and our social worker. Appointments can be scheduled by calling Washington School at 815-934-9660.
Dixon Public Schools has been notified that duplicate notices are going out about school being cancelled today. We are removing those now. We are planning on being in session tomorrow.

This decision is based on the information provided to districts from the National Weather Service. Tomorrow will be a snow day that will be made up at the end of the year. Congratulations to Ayden Rowley and Shaun DeVries who both placed 3rd in their respective weight classes at the Class 1A Wrestling Sectionals in Oregon on Saturday, which punched Ayden and Shaun's ticket to the State Wrestling Tournament this coming weekend in Champaign!
