Good evening, The start of the school year is in a couple of weeks and we are starting to finalize student busing information. The parent’s bus information is being added to your student’s portal daily. If you registered early, the information should already be posted to the portal, please login to view the information. If you just registered this past week, please check regularly as the information will be updated daily. Please note, if the route number shows 00, that means your child is not assigned or riding a bus. If the route number shows 001, they are ineligible to ride a bus. For the most part, route times and stops have remained the same as last year. Please be at the stop at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival. Kindergarten families will receive a call from the bus company before school starts. The shuttles will leave the schools at 7:15am for those students walking to catch a shuttle. The shuttle schedule has been posted to the website at this link. https://5il.co/1f7n3 Please be patient as the start of the year always involves some adjustments and changes. Buses will be performing a dry run of the routes on August 11th. Thank you and have a great night.
Attention DHS Band parents and students! Marching band camp starts this Monday, 8/1 from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm at Dixon High School in the band room. Camp is required for all students registered for high school band. Please reach out to rcarter@dps170.org with any questions.

Fall sports Player/Parent meeting is on August 8th at 5:30pm in the DHS Auditorium. Also, please make sure your Student-Athlete has their sports physical on file and is registered on 8to18: https://dixon.8to18.com/accounts/login. Questions please contact the Athletics Office.

Parents, another reminder that Registration is open. Your student needs to be registered for us to assign them a Homeroom Teacher or a schedule. Please take a minute to register your student online, or stop by the District Office today, we will be available until 6pm.
Parents- this a reminder that Registration is open for this upcoming School Year, all returning families can log into your Parent Portal and register your students online. If you need assistance or need to drop off paperwork, the District Office will be open Tuesday, July 26th from 7:30am to 6pm.
Also, Tools for School pickup will be Wednesday, August 10th from 9am-3pm in the Reagan Middle School Cafeteria. All families that need assistance with supplies may stop by for a backpack.
August 15th is the first day of school and students will be dismissed at 11am.

Dixon Public Schools is having their Regular Board Meeting on Wed., June 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the District Office, 1335 Franklin Grove Road.
The meeting will be recorded and will posted on the District’s YouTube channel and website. Those wishing to submit public comment need to email them to the Board President, Linda Wegner and to the Superintendent, Margo Empen, by Noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Public Comment received after this time may not be guaranteed to be read aloud at this meeting.

Did you know that we are moving the main office at Madison School? The art room at RMS will become the new Madison office. The art room is being moved near the RMS cafeteria. A secure vestibule will be installed. This project is scheduled to be complete in early August.
Summer School families. This is a reminder that summer school will begin June 1st and run through June 28th Monday – Friday. School begins at 8:00 a.m. and breakfast will be provided. Dismissal is at 11:30 a.m. & students will be sent home with a sack lunch. K-5 will be located at Jefferson School and 6-12 will be located at DHS.
Families who have requested busing will receive a call on Tuesday, May 31st with the bus stop and pick up time information.
DHS & RMS students - Remember to bring all Chromebook equipment to school for the last day before summer break. We need all Chromebooks and accessories turned in on Thursday, 5-26-2022.
