This week’s RMS Spirit Award goes to our incredible Counseling Department — Mrs. Eva Pitzer, Mrs. Alecia Weigle, and Mr. Mark Morris. This hardworking, collaborative, and compassionate team consistently goes above and beyond to support our students, families, and staff. Whether it’s providing guidance during the school day or connecting families with valuable resources in the community, their dedication never goes unnoticed. Most recently, they coordinated efforts with counselors from Dixon High School to provide additional coverage and support for students at Madison Elementary which is a perfect example of the creativity, teamwork, and commitment that define the DPS spirit! Thank you, Mrs. Pitzer, Mrs. Weigle, and Mr. Morris, for always stepping in and stepping up to make sure our students and families receive the care and support they need!

Throughout the month of October, DPS Elementary Schools are hosting the United Way - Kids Helping Kids Coin Drive, and we need YOU to help make a difference! The class at each elementary school that collects the most money will win a sweet treat: delicious Culver's custard!

Every coin counts, and all funds raised will support organizations in our own community, including Dixon Public Schools. Let’s come together, spread the word, and get those containers filled!
