The Community Engagement Committee's School Start Times Survey closes Monday, January 31st. Please take a moment to visit our district website and click on the links to watch a short video, review the informational one page document, and respond to the brief survey regarding school start times. When the Board of Education is making the decision to change or not, many factors will be taken into consideration, including YOUR VOICE!
Registration for the 6th Annual Dixon Girls Youth Basketball Camp is here! The Dixon High School Basketball coaches invite all 2nd-8th grade girls to join them for a fun and Exciting camp of learning and developing fundamental basketballs skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

High School students working in the Tech Zone built LED heart ornaments for our nurses to show appreciation for their efforts in recent days. Collin presented the nurses with their hearts. #gopurple


DPS #170 will have a 2 hour late start on Jan. 26 due to cold temps. Classes will begin at 9:45 am. Students who ride buses will be picked up 2 hours later than the original pick-up time. No a.m. PreK. No early bird at DHS. WACC will be in session and the bus will leave DHS at 9:30 am. RMS students check Canvas or the website for adjusted Zoom times.

Girls bball vs Oregon on Sat, Jan. 22nd has been postponed. We will still have our H.O.F. ceremony that day, but will NOT have a recognition that night as planned. The make up date for basketball will be 1/27/22 but we will not do an official H.O.F. recognition that night.

Dixon Public Schools is having their Regular Board Meeting on Wed., Jan. 19, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the District Office, 1335 Franklin Grove Road.
The District is returning to an in-person meeting format. The meeting will be recorded and posted on the District’s YouTube channel and website. Masks are required. Social Distancing will be observed. Once all seats are filled no other participants will be allowed. Those wishing to submit public comment need to email them to the Board President, Linda Wegner and to the Superintendent, Margo Empen, by Noon on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022. Public Comment received after this time may not be guaranteed to be read aloud at this meeting.
DPS #170 is using an emergency day on Friday (1/14/22) due to a shortage of staff in our buildings. This day will be made up at the end of the school year, and there will be no remote learning tomorrow. We are hoping that the long weekend will allow our staff levels to return to normal next week. We continue to monitor numbers daily related to Covid. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, January 18th.
Washington School PreK Classes ONLY will be on an adaptive pause beginning today at noon until Monday, January 17th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 18th.
